Silver Hollow Way

The Masthead

A short, honest account of what Silver Hollow Way is: a social casino set in newsprint, made by hand, with money and surveillance deliberately left off the page.

🗞️

Set in newsprint

Columns, rules and serif type rather than neon — a casino you read calmly, not one that flashes for your attention.

⚙️

Plain code

Both games are hand-written vanilla JavaScript — no engines, frameworks or third-party trackers.

🏔️

Swiss restraint

Measured spacing, a single plum accent, and a quiet ochre highlight. Order before ornament.

The two games

Reel Press is a classic three-reel machine with a single centre payline — match the line to pay and line up three sevens for the jackpot. Hollow Blackjack is a measured round at the card table: hit, stand or double against a dealer who draws to seventeen, with blackjack paid three to two, a running ledger and a hand log. Two familiar shapes of luck, both set from scratch.

What it leaves off the page

  • No real money. No deposits, withdrawals, purchases or prizes.
  • No accounts. No sign-up, passwords or profiles.
  • No tracking. No advertising cookies, analytics fingerprinting or data resale.
  • No dark patterns. No fake urgency, loss-chasing nudges or endless pings.

Those aren't missing columns — they're the editorial line. Strip away money, accounts and surveillance, and what's left is a small, honest paper you can enjoy and set down without a trace.

Performance & access

Critical styles load inline for a quick first paint; fonts and the stylesheet load asynchronously; each game starts only on its own page. Layouts avoid content shifting, motion respects reduced-motion settings, and every page reads fine without JavaScript thanks to written content and noscript fallbacks.
